CPD

Infrastructure for cable management in DPCs

The essential solution in modern power system infrastructure

The Data Processing Center has been designed under criteria of high availability, scalability and electrical security, where the cabling conduction infrastructure plays a key role in service continuity.

The installation is based on metal cable tray systems designed to support high densities of power and data cabling, ensuring proper thermal management, accessibility for maintenance and regulatory compliance.

The choice of the type of tray is based on a prior study of loads, bending radii, growth reserves and operating accesses.

Grid Tray and Ladder Tray

The use of grid-type trays in horizontal and vertical distribution zones favors natural ventilation of the cabling and reduces heat build-up, a critical aspect in data center environments. This type of tray also allows rapid adaptation to future changes, extensions or redistribution of lines, without the need for complex disassembly.

Likewise, in the main power routes and in areas where large sections of cabling are concentrated, ladder trays are installed, especially suitable for data centers due to their high load capacity, ease of thermal dissipation and optimum management of large-diameter cables. The ladder tray also facilitates the laying and replacement of power cables, reducing intervention times and operational risks during work in critical installations.

In areas where greater mechanical protection or shielding is required, perforated trays and blind trays are installed, ensuring proper segregation between power and communications circuits and minimizing electromagnetic interference.

Industrial experience applied to CPD

The support and fastening systems have been designed for high loads and structural continuity, maintaining controlled support distances and guaranteeing stability even in suspended sections or complex technical routes.

From the point of view of corrosion protection, the selected finishes ensure a long service life of the installation, reducing maintenance costs and operational risks in the long term, a critical factor in 24/7 infrastructures such as a data center.

Overall, the implemented trunking solution allows for an orderly, secure and growth-ready installation, aligned with current data center standards and aimed at maximizing the reliability of the electrical and communications system.

CONCLUSION

Good design and installation decides the reliability, security and real cost of the DPC for decades. Designing it right from the start is not a technical choice. It is a strategic decision.

As a manufacturer, we provide solutions designed for industrial and critical environments, which is a clear advantage in terms of robustness and durability.
On the other hand, this approach requires more precise initial planning, as it is not intended for last-minute improvised solutions.
